1. MegaVault Overview

On Aug 6, 2024,  dYdX Trading published a deep dive on the MegaVault.

MegaVault is an upcoming user-facing feature on the dYdX Chain that enables users to deposit USDC in exchange for yield while providing liquidity to various markets on the dYdX Chain. The deposited USDC will be utilized in automated market-making strategies across markets on dYdX Chain.

MegaVault will operate using multiple “sub-vaults,” each running an automated market-making strategy for a specific market. The initial version of MegaVault will require an “operator,” elected via governance, to manually perform critical operational tasks such as moving USDC between sub-vaults and adjusting parameters that control the vault’s quoting strategies. Future iterations may automate these tasks, potentially removing the need for an operator.

2. Expected Responsibilities of the MegaVault Operator

The operator is expected to conduct preliminary research into the workings and requirements for a successful deployment and operation of the MegaVault. Preliminary research includes reviewing the vault parameter codebase, designing a playbook for how to manage allocations, and thinking through risk management strategies.

The operator will be responsible for drafting and submitting a governance proposal to launch the MegaVault and assign themselves as the operator.

If the dYdX community approves of the proposal, we expect the following ongoing responsibilities for the operator role:

Overview

Requirements

• Active community member for at least 12 months with clear contributions. Active trading history preferred.
• Share experiences and learnings from the event on our community platforms (Forum, X, LinkedIn)
• Send 2-4 UGC video’s from the event, post event
• Publish 2-4 threads tagging dYdX Grants and dYdX from the event, pre, during and post
• Publish 2-4 Linkedin posts tagging dYdX + dYdX Foundation from the vent, pre during and post
• Comply with the code of conduct during the event

Purpose

To effectively reach and engage the Dutch-speaking audience in the cryptocurrency space, focusing on creating high-quality, informative content that resonates with both seasoned crypto traders and newcomers.

Objectives

• Awareness: Increase visibility of dYdX on top Dutch-speaking crypto platforms.
• Education: Develop multimedia content to educate the audience about dYdX, its offerings, and benefits in the cryptocurrency trading space.
• Onboarding: Create engaging materials and guides to facilitate the onboarding of new users to dYdX.
• Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant, informed, and active community around dYdX in the Dutch-speaking crypto world.

Scope of Work

• Content Development: Create engaging, educational, and relevant content tailored to the Dutch-speaking market. This may include articles, videos, infographics, and other multimedia formats.
• Translation and Localization: Translate existing dYdX documentation into Dutch, ensuring it resonates with the cultural and linguistic nuances of the target audience.
• Platform Dissemination: Identify and leverage top Dutch-speaking crypto platforms for content distribution, maximizing reach and engagement.

Community Interaction: Actively participate in community discussions, provide support, and gather feedback to improve ongoing strategies.
